Brighton Talks

Communication is the backbone of any society. It allows us to form connections, influence decisions, and motivate change. Public speaking is one of the most important and most dreaded forms of communication. In the working world, public speaking is a vital skill to have. While some kids take to it naturally, others tend to be more fearful of standing and talking in front of a crowd.

Public speaking helps to progress your child in the following:

Improved communication skills
Increased self-esteem
Planning experience
The power of persuasion

Follow the Sunnah – It will take you to Jannah

The best way to express love for the Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) is to send peace and blessings upon him. Loving him, following/obeying him and sending peace & blessing upon him is an essential part of faith (Iman) of every Muslim.

Indeed, The Beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) is a role model for all mankind till the day of judgement. At Brighton, we are initiating a special theme for year 2022 Follow the Sunnah – It will take us to Jannah  to inculcate the love for our Holy  Prophet’s (S.A.W.) in hearts of our young students. We aim to inspire students in following authentic Sunnahs which are easy to follow as they  are already part of our daily life i-e (Sunnahs for waking up, eating etc.) We are planning to introduce  Sunnah per day and hadith per week in morning assembly. We intend to cover 100 Sunnahs and 40 Ahadith till May 2022 In sha Allah. Reviving or follow the Prophet’s Sunnahs is a great blessing of Allah. As Narrated by Anas bin Malik (RA),”The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said to me: ‘Whoever revives my Sunnah then he has loved me. And whoever loved me, he shall be with me in Paradise.'” (Tirmidhi: 2678) May Allah SWT grant us all Toufeeq to enrich the hearts minds and souls of our students through sincere implementation of Sunnah SAW. All praise be to Allah the Almighty

Global Languages

Research shows that learning a second language boosts problem-solving, critical-thinking, and listening skills, in addition to improving memory, concentration, and the ability to multitask. Children proficient in other languages also show signs of enhanced creativity and mental flexibility.

Brighton believes that a global language allows for communication between different cultures. Language has always been the focal point of cultural identity. A global language dismantles communication barriers and offers individuals a gateway to understanding one another’s cultures.

We introduced the following two languages for our young Brightoners

Mandarin (by specialized & qualified teacher from Dept of Chinese Univ. of Karachi) French ( by qualified international teacher from Alliance de Franchaise)

Nazra e Quran

Nazra-Quran is considered as one of the most acknowledged and one of the most prioritized part of our teachings. This  is considered as an elementary course where our students can learn about the basics of Quran and it is also considered as the best for the beginners especially for your kids where they will learn about the understanding of Quran and how to pronounce the Arabic words to have the best possible building foundation for the learning of Quran. The first step in the course objective is all about completing the Qaida which is considered as the first step in this course and the second step is all about Nazra and with the help of verbal explanation you cannot just read but also learn about the Quran.

Yoga and Gymnastics

Brighton believes that Introducing yoga postures to young children at an early age, through playful activities, is a great way to boost healthy living, helping them to become calmer and better able to concentrate and focus. Introducing yoga asanas to young children at an early age is a great way to boost healthy living. Our experienced sports instructor plays a vital role in igniting the passion for Yoga and Gymnastics at a young age

Brighton’s Big Balloon Debate

Brighton’s Big Balloon debate encourages children to imagine the hypothetical situation of a hot-air balloon which is too heavy and rapidly losing height.

The balloon basket might hold a group of famous people, authors, celebrities, particular professions or even objects, inventions, numbers or concepts. Children then discuss and debate why some should be allowed to stay and why something or someone should go (with a parachute of life jacket).

A brilliant discussion-based ‘classic’ activity that always promotes plenty of talk and active listening – Brighton’s Big Balloon debates are superb ways to improve children’s speaking and listening skills. They have to compare and contrast ideas together and share different trains of thought before attempting to reach a consensus. Brightoners are looking forward and striving to be a part of this grand annual event

Fostering Global Citizenship Education

Brighton provides its young students with a planned global citizenship education program to provide them the knowledge, understanding and skills to play an active part in society as informed, empathetic and critical citizens who are socially and morally responsible.

Global citizenship helps young people to: Build their own understanding of world events. Think about their values and what’s important to them. Take learning into the real world.

Brighton has been a part of ACEI’s Global Schools First (GSF) program that provides a school assessment and recognition opportunity for primary schools committed to fostering critical competencies skills and knowledge that children need to be successful in today’s complex and increasingly interconnected world. Brighton has successfully completed Level 1 of GSF and has received recognition for our school’s commitment to global citizenship education as Certificate of Commitment
